Terms & Conditions

Boarding rates are charged per day. This is inclusive of the day of arrival and the day of departure.
 

 Payment in full is required on arrival at the cattery. Any additional fees that may have incurred during your pets stay (vet visit, extended stay etc) must be paid in full before departure.

 

Daily rates are inclusive of all your pets needs except out of hours services. 

 

All cats boarding with us must be fully vaccinated. 

 

In the event of injury or illness of a cat, we will instruct our local vets or your designated veterinary surgeon where possible. Costs thereof will be met by the owner of the animal.

 

The owner must provide a second emergency contact number in the event of the owner being uncontactable. Failure to provide a second contact number will result in the cattery being assigned as the second emergency contact. Therefore granting permission for the cattery to make judgement on the health and welfare of the animal in question. 

The animal's owner accepts and agrees that whilst every care and attention is given to their cat(s), they are boarding with The Friendly Cattery at the owners liability.

 

 Where two or more pets sharing a pen, consent must be given upon check-in and liability lies with the owner. The cattery have the right to separate cats if they feel it necessary for the safety and comfort of the animals.

All pets belongings are left at the owner's risk. The cattery is not liable for any lost or damaged items left with the animal. Owners must inform the cattery of their cats preferences for toys and interaction prior to their stay.

 

Deposits and short stay booking payments are required to secure your booking. These are non-refundable. In the event you need to cancel, payments can be transferred to another booking with advance notice or held as credit by the cattery for future bookings. Failure to notify us of a cancellation with adequate time to refill the space will forfeit any fees already paid. 

 

Cats must be in a secure cat carrier for handover. Any carrier we feel is unfit for purpose will not be accepted. This is for the safety and security of the cat and also for emergency evacuation procedures.

Cats are to be handed over to staff upon check in and will be settled into their accommodation by staff. This is the health and safety procedure to ensure security of all cats and to reduce stress for guests already staying within the cattery. Viewings of the cattery and settling of cats by customers are at the duty managers discretion.  

 

Please ensure any medication or own food is clearly marked with the cat's name, your surname and full instructions of dosage.

Medical or behavioural issues with your cat(s) must be disclosed upon booking. This is for the safety of all members of staff and your cat. Failure to disclose information may result in refusal of boarding upon arrival at the cattery.

Please ensure that you drop off and pick up your cat(s) during our opening hours.  In the event that you cannot make these times, prior arrangement must be made with us to come outside these hours. This is strictly by appointment only and to our discretion. This may not always be possible for us to accommodate. Out of hours fee will apply. 

 

We are open daily throughout the year for arrivals and departures of our guests except Christmas day, Boxing Day, New Years Day & Easter Sunday.
 

Christmas day, Boxing day, New year's day and Easter Sunday are all charged at double rate. 

Throughout winter months, a 10% heating charge is applied to all guests. This includes any guests that boards between 1st November - 1st march each year. 

 

Prices quoted upon booking, prior to the animals arrival can be subject to change. This is to accomodate for inflation. 

 

Facebook pictures and videos are at no extra cost. We endeavour to post a photo of all our guests but ask you drop us a message for requests. We are not always able to take photos and videos of your animal(s) and we cannot guarantee this. If you wish for us to not post any photos of your animal(s) we ask you let us know on check-in. 

 

The Friendly Cattery reserves the right to refuse boarding to any cat for any reasons.

 

In the instance that an animal is left in our care and their bill exceeds 28 days with no contact from the owner, it is classed as abandonment and therefor the animal in question falls into the ownership of The Friendly Cattery.


The Friendly Cattery reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time as it sees fit. Any changes to these terms and conditions will be posted on this website, you are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis and before boarding your cat with us.
