Here at The Friendly Cattery we provide calm, clean and secure accommodation for all cats. With highly experienced staff, we ensure all cats get the care and attention they deserve.

Our Accommodation

All of our cattery pens have multiple levels to provide climbing enrichment and allowing cats to relax at different heights. Each pen is fully heated during colder periods and they have plenty of ventilation during the warmer periods. We have pens to suit any cat size/age or even extra large pens for families of up to 4 cats.

Our Care

Feeding

We provide dry and wet food options of all major brands of cat food included in the price. These include; Felix, Whiskas, Sheba, Gourmet, Iams, Purina, Go-cat as well as various treats suck as Dreamies, Lick-e-Lix and treat sticks. We always have cooked chicken an tuna on hand for even the fussiest eaters!

Cats are fed to the owners instructions and if you would like to bring their own food that's absolutely fine!

Enrichment

Time flies when they are having fun!

Enrichment is a key factor to ensure our guests are happy and settled during their stay. Each guest will find multiple levels in their pens, ladders to scale and hides to take themselves away when they would like some quiet time. Pens are fitted with fixed scratching posts and toys can be provided upon request. You are more than welcome to bring something from home to leave with your cat. Please do not leave anything precious or toys containing batteries for safety reasons.

Cleaning

New arrivals are placed into a freshly disinfected pen with fresh litter tray, bowls and bedding. The accommodation is cleaned daily with animal safe disinfectant. Litter trays are cleaned as frequently as needed, fresh food bowls are provided with each meal and water is replenished every morning and topped up throughout the day.

Vaccinations

All cats boarding with us must be up to date with their vaccinations. (Feline Infectious Enteritis & Feline Calicivirus) Proof of vaccination must be shown on arrival to the cattery. A photo will be updated to our records in the event of a council inspection. Worming and flea treatment must be up to date.

Updates

While your cat is with us we like to provide you with updates on how they are settling in. Feel free to call or email and we will be happy to update you! We can also post photos on our Facebook page or send them privately via Facebook messenger. Photos are by request only.

Security

Security is paramount at The Friendly Cattery. That is why we ensure all accommodation has newly installed double door systems on all buildings. We also have made all areas staff only. Buildings have CCTV and are alarmed during out of hours time periods. We want owners to be confident that their cat is well and truly in safe hands.
